About Us

My journey into herbal wellness and womb healing did not begin as a business. It began with loss, love, and witnessing generations of health struggles within my family and community.

My children's father battled prostate cancer before passing away from a myocardial infarction. Both my maternal and paternal grandmothers suffered from strokes and high blood pressure before eventually succumbing to those conditions. I recently lost my uncle to a heart attack, and I have watched countless aunts, cousins, and loved ones struggle with hypertension, diabetes, stress-related illnesses, womb health challenges, fibroids, and chronic disease.

Over time, I began to recognize a painful pattern affecting so many Black families  suffering in silence, disconnection from holistic wellness, and a lack of education surrounding preventative care, nourishment, and healing.

Then, in early 2026, I experienced a near-death experience of my own.

That moment changed my life forever.

It awakened something deep within me and strengthened my purpose to help others reconnect with healing  not only physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and ancestrally.

I realized healing is more than surviving. Healing is remembering who we are. It is reconnecting to the wisdom of the earth, honoring the body as sacred, and reclaiming the knowledge our ancestors once carried.

Through Rising Roots Apothecary, I share herbal wellness, intentional living, and holistic care rooted in love, education, and community healing. Through Black Womb Rising, I create sacred spaces centered around womb wellness for Black women encouraging self-love rituals, softness, rest, spiritual connection, and reclaiming the divine power of the womb.

This work is deeply personal to me.

I believe our bodies deserve nourishment. I believe our women deserve to be heard. I believe our communities deserve access to healing knowledge that was once forgotten, hidden, or disconnected from us.

The scripture that has guided my path is Revelation 22:2:

"...and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

Those words became more than scripture to me they became purpose.

Everything created here is done with intention, compassion, and the hope that healing can ripple through generations.
